Made from heavy-duty, UV coated vinyl, the shooting tarp can be used indoors or outdoors, provides excellent target practice, built to be easy to retrieve pucks, and can also protect your walls, windows, and garage doors! Available in two different sizes (8' H x 16' W or 7' H x 16' W), depending on your ceiling heights. Play a game of Around the World, PIG, Follow the Leader, Rapid Fire, or create your own. What's the best way to install the Shooting Tarp?
The tarp may be installed to either your wall or ceiling, depending on your personal preference or room design. In both cases, please note that the tarp is designed with grommets along the top, spaced every 24 inches, that enables installation
Wall installation: for best results, we recommend attaching a 2 x 4 wood beam to backside of the top of the tarp. Next, install shelf brackets along your wall, ideally into the wall studs. Then, fasten the 2 x 4 to the wall brackets, such that the tarp surface can hang 12-18 inches in front of the wall when fully installed.
For ceiling installation: some customers attach to studs in the ceiling using bungees or another suspension system. The length of bungee will depend on ceiling height, of course. Bungees may fit directly into the grommets along the top. Alternatively, you can attach a 2 x 4 wood beam to the backside of the top, or fasten the top to a pole using zip-ties, and then connecting your beam or pole to the bungees or suspension system.
We've seen hundreds of unique ways to install our Tarps over the years. It all depends on your area and the options and space available to you.

How far away from the wall should the Tarp hang?
12-18 inches. This gives the Tarp room to move back from the impact of hard shots without hitting your wall behind it.
What is the sleeve at the bottom for?
The sleeve at the bottom is for inserting a wooden dowel or something similar to help keep pucks from sliding underneath.

This is a heavy duty tarp. I wasn’t aware of the extra work it would take to get set up. If you are going to suspend it from the ceiling you will need to get a 2x4, and regardless of how you hang it you will need to get either a long pipe or piece of wood to thread through the bottom. Once set up this thing is awesome. It eats pucks like it should and hopefully will kieep the glass in my basement windows as my kid grows up with it.

This tarp has endured three years outside in the San Diego sun and thousands of shots. No cracks, fatigue or signs of wear. Unreal. It has also endured rain. The only improvement suggestion I have is to put a few grommets in the bottom channel for rain water to drain.
Easy to install and makes a perfect spot to shoot in the basement. No worry about ricochet pucks breaking lights or gym equipment. Way better then a actual net for indoor shooting.
This tarp is great, very high quality - sturdy once installed. I followed the install directions from Snipers Edge website. Screwed the tarp into a 16' 2x4 using the grommets and hung with chain from hooks in the ceiling. Better than a steel goal as it deadens the pucks and they don't go flying like they would if you hit a steel post. Pricey, but worth it!
I bought the shooting tarp for my sons Birthday and made him a shooting lane in the basement for those inclement weather days. The Tarp hung easily from the floor joists using screw in hooks through the strong grommets in the tarp. I am impressed by the quality overall, the stitching is strong enough not just for a 12year old and hockey team friends but Parents as well. We have been having shoot out contests to make it fun, occasionally using balloons in the pockets or taped on as extra fun and targets.His coaches and some hockey parents have noticed that his shot strength and accuracy has increased and won a fun shootout during a recent practice (not bad for a defenseman)I recommend the tarp to anyone who is tired of moving the hockey goal in during the winter or doesn't have the room for a big net, or looking to have fun while improving their shot and protecting walls or cars!
Great quality shooting tarp. Easy enough to install and perfectly covers the garage door. See this lasting a long time as long as it’s taken care of. Highly recommended!

Our first purchase was too tall so we exchanged for the 7’ tarp. There was a little goof up during the return process that made it take longer than normal, but the company made it right and got us our tarp quickly once it was sorted. We’re very happy with the quality of the product.

It's perfect. Not as loud as pucks off of a crossbar. Hanging it as a two person team wasn't too bad. Rolling it up is a bit difficult, but... it needed to be huge and heavy to be effective.

Quality materials will hold up to even the most viscous shots! Target pockets help shooter to work on accuracy and can be used for target games! Size options give flexibility to protect walls or garage doors. Could be used for one player or an entire hockey organizations players! Great value for the money! Easy to hang from rafters or install between posts outdoors. Only wish I had this wonderful target when I was a player! As a coach, it’s great to see players working on strength, velocity and accuracy of shooting off the ice!
Awesome quality! Only thing is i wish brackets and 2x16 came with the product even if it was more money. It was a little inconvenient when tarp arrived!

My son uses this for pucks and lacrosse balls. We strung it up on a rope between two trees. Works great. Only small issue is it holds water when it rains. No big deal
